St Joseph’s College is a school where the creative child has every opportunity to flourish, across Music, the Visual and Performing Arts, and Technological and Applied Studies (TAS).

The vibrant Music faculty has more than 20 ensembles catering for all instruments and abilities, from rock bands and a jazz improv group to the Chapel Choir and Big Band. While concerts demonstrating boys’ progress and learning are held throughout the year, the faculty also provides entertainment for school and community events and liturgical music for Masses, where ÌÒ×ÓÖ±²¥â€™ cherished all-in singing tradition is also at the fore.

Every two years the College stages a musical that showcases the depth and breadth of its music and performing arts program. In 2023, a reimagined performance of Pippin entertained sell-out crowds over four nights at the Concourse Theatre, Chatswood.

The work of art students is on permanent exhibition throughout the College, testament to the important place that Visual Arts holds in College life. As well, a Student Art Exhibition is held each year, an opportunity for family and friends to enjoy the creations of every art student. The annual TAS exhibition spotlights the extraordinary achievements of boys expressing their creativity through project-based learning, with many works created as useable pieces of equipment.
